Eric K. Davis, D.O.
Family Practice, Board Eligible
Dr. Davis graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 1995. He completed his internship and residency in family practice at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee from July 1995 to June 1998. In July 1998 , he began his practice with Cox Health in Buffalo, Missouri. He then relocated to Fredericktown, MO and joined Madison Medical Center in September 2005 where he opened a practice closer to his family. Dr. Davis is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Osteopathic Association. His interests are in preventive medicine, minor surgeries and osteopathic manipulation.
Nancy Lodge, MD
Pediatrician, Board Certified
Dr. Lodge completed her BA degree at Virginia Wesleyan College in 1986. She attended Eastern Virginia Medical School and obtained her MD degree in 1990. From there, she completed an Internship and Residency in Pediatrics through Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona in 1993. She practiced as a pediatrician for over twelve years at three different practices in Arizona. Then, in 2012, Dr. Lodge relocated to Missouri and began working at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, MO. Three years later in 2015, she began practicing at Madison Medical Center.
Patrick O'Hara, MD
Family Practice, Board Certified
Dr. O'Hara graduated in 1996 from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and then completed an internship and residency at Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1999. Dr. O'Hara is Board Certified in Family Practice. He practiced in Farmington and Perryville, Missouri, from 1999 to 2019, and then joined the MMC medical staff in March 2020. He has been serving Southeast Missouri for over 20 years.

Cheryl Akers, APRN, BC-FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Cheryl began her nursing career over 25 years ago and has worked in various fields of nursing. She started as an LPN, graduating valedictorian with her Associate's Degree from Trinity College of Nursing. Cheryl then earned her RN from the University of Phoenix and completed her Master's degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2019, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She became board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in July of 2019 and joined the Madison Medical Center Staff in March of 2022.
Julie Buford, WHNP
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Julie attended Southeast Missouri State University and obtained her RN & BS degree in 1997. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2002 and also earned a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification in 2007. In 2013, she worked toward the completion of a certification for the Family Nurse Practitioner program through UMSL as well. She joined Madison Medical Center in 2013 after working the previous six years as a WHNP at a Farmington OBGYN group. Julie also served as a RN at Madison County Health Department for 10 years.
Corinna DeFrancesco, APRN, BC-FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Corinna attended Mineral Area College and obtained her LPN degree in 1993, and then earned her RN degree in 1998. She completed a Master’s Degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse from Southeast Missouri State University in 2007, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has been employed at Madison Medical Center as a CNA, RN, & Infection Control Nurse, where she is now the facility’s Director of Nurses. Corinna began practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Madison Medical Center in 2007.
Melinda Fischer, RN, BC, FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Melinda attended nursing school at Lutheran Medical School of Nursing in St. Louis from 1989 to 1991 where she became a Registered Nurse. She was then employed at Sullivan Hospital as a staff nurse from 1991 to 1993. In 1996, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis while working as the Nursing Supervisor at the Washington County Health Department's Home Health Agency. From 1996-1997, she worked at Sullivan Hospital as a nurse in-home care services. Then from 1997 to 2002, she worked with Apria Healthcare as an IV Infusion specialist and with Personal Touch, a private duty nursing company, all while working on obtaining her Master's in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at University of Missouri at St. Louis. She became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and joined Madison Medical Center's staff in 2002.
Alanna Guess, APRN BC-FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified
Alanna is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her nursing career over 25 years ago with a focus in acute care and emergency medicine. She completed her master’s degree through Cox College, Springfield, Missouri in December of 2018 with a focus on family medicine. She became board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in February, 2019 and began practicing at Madison Medical Center in June of 2019. She is dedicated to the importance of having medical services in our rural community and believes all people deserve adequate health care they can trust.
